Woodland Raises Funds for ‘Movember’ All June

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Woodland Mall plans to raise funds in honor of Men’s Health Month and to celebrate Father’s Day.

Mall says money will profit Movembera non-profit organization that focuses on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer in men.

Acting senior marketing manager Mikia Ross said the mall would donate $500 to the organization and also encourage the community to support the cause. Until the end of June, shoppers will be able to find and scan QR codes throughout the mall to donate.

“We are honored to help raise funds for Movember to support all of the amazing fathers and father figures,” Ross said in a fundraising statement. “Movember is a fantastic charity raising awareness for men’s health globally. We look forward to partnering with the community to contribute to such an important cause.

The mall is also celebrating Father’s Day with a raffle. This will take place from Tuesday June 14 to Thursday June 16. Prizes include a special gift set created for dads or father figures and will be valued at $100 each.
